Community Partners and Funders
PartnersPartners come primarily from Northern Ontario although some are drawn nationally and internationally. Partners are community based organizations such as non-profits, cooperatives, and municipalities and First Nations. The partners identify research questions, which guide the development of the research methodology and provide input into all final reports. In many cases, the partners help identify community based researchers that can work with NORDIK to increase the communities capacity to conduct their own research. FundersNORDIK is funded through its work as a consultant to community groups as well as through various grants and project funding. FedNor provided the initial funding for the establishment of NORDIK. |
