The goal of the Rural Youth Research Internship Project (RYRIP) is to report on the community impact of FedNor’s Community Futures Program (CFP), and to engage rural youth in conducting research. The RYRIP project engaged 7 youth as summer interns with  Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) across Ontario. Specifically the youth perspectives focused on research questions related to youth out-migration, regional partnerships, and entrepreneurship. Community impact was gauged by assessing the effectiveness of community development activities sponsored or supported by the CFDC.
